Kenapa ni ?

Perkasa panggil ketua pemuda kerana desak Najib letak jawatan

Sayap pemuda Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Kebangsaan (Perkasa) mengejutkan ramai pihak apabila membuat gesaan supaya Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Razak meletak jawatan ekoran gagal menguruskan negara dengan baik.

Namun Najib masih berpeluk tubuh tanpa sebarang tindakan.

– 28 Ogos, 2013.

5 Times of the Day You Should Be Working Out

Best Times to Work Out

Best Times to Work Out
What's the best time to exercise? If you answered, "Anytime I can drag my spandex-clad ass to the gym," it's not that you're wrong exactly, but your body does respond to exercise differently throughout the day. Given how hectic life can be, it makes sense to get the most out of every minute spent exercising. Here, experts help you find the best time to schedule your workout based on the benefits you're looking to achieve.

1. If you have a stressful meeting planned…
Work out just before it.

Thirty minutes of moderate-intensity exercise can lessen your body's physiological reaction to stress by boosting feel-good neurotransmitters such as dopamine. "It also encourages your brain to switch off its stress response," says J. Carson Smith, Ph.D., an assistant professor of kinesiology at the University of Maryland. "You'll feel the effects about 15 minutes after you finish your workout."

2. If you have trouble sleeping…
Do the right exercise before bed.

You may have heard that vigorous exercise before bed makes it harder to fall asleep, but according to a new report from the National Sleep Foundation, people who exercise at any time of day or night get better z's than couch potatoes. If you're a poor sleeper, a quick yoga session is best. Research shows 30 minutes can improve sleep quality and help you conk out faster. It's also safer than sleeping pills, which can sometimes leave you dangerously drowsy while driving the next morning, says Dr. Barbara Phillips, medical director of the sleep lab at the University of Kentucky.
3. If you want to prevent injury…
Aim for the early evening.

Prone to pulled muscles, soreness, sprained ankles (you get the idea)? Then wait until after work to exercise. Early in the day when your natural temperature is lower, "your body isn't necessarily ready to jump out of bed and perform, so you may be more vulnerable to strain and injury," says Michael Deschenes, Ph.D., professor and chair of the department of kinesiology and health sciences at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. To avoid injury, exercise between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., when core temp peaks.

4. If you want to drop pounds…
Work out before breakfast.

Maximize your body's flab-burning potential by hitting the gym first thing in the morning. People who ran on a treadmill before breakfast burned about 20 percent more fat compared with a group who ate breakfast first, according to a recent study published in the British Journal of Nutrition. "Your body taps into fat stores for fuel instead of carbohydrates from breakfast," explains study coauthor Javier Gonzalez, who studies exercise and metabolism.
5. If you want to tone up…
Exercise after dinner.

Because of the uptick in core body temps later in the day, exercise performance improves. Namely, muscle strength increases slightly, coordination is better, and your VO2 max (the amount of oxygen delivered to muscles) rises. Translation? "Your workout may feel a bit easier," says Deschenes. It's a small improvement, but one that may help you upgrade from 5-pound weights to 10-pound ones, resulting in more marked muscle tone.

6. If you want to avoid an allergy attack…
Work out in the evening.

Fall allergies are often caused by ragweed-and those pollen levels are at their highest between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. That means the morning run you thought would be energizing might make you groggy and bring on allergy symptoms that continue throughout the day, says board-certified allergist and immunologist Dr. Sakina Bajowala, a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Two options: Move indoors or work out later, when pollen counts are lower.

SAMA KABINET TAPI TAK SERUPA PENDAPAT

The Defence Minister has joined a growing chorus calling on Deputy Minister P Waythamoorthy to resign from his Cabinet position if he wants to act like a representative of a non-governmental organisation.

Echoing Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who made the same call yesterday, Datuk Hishammuddin Hussein said Waythamoorthy, the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, should think rationally before making statements now that he is in government.

“Being emotional on it is not the right way of a leader. I support Datuk Zahid….101 percent. As Cabinet ministers we have to be responsible.

“We cannot place our personal political interest above the collective interest of the government,” he said after meeting US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel in Kuala Lumpur today.

Ahmad Zahid had told the former Hindraf leader to quit his Cabinet position after Waythamoorthy had questioned the police shooting of five alleged gang members.

"In the war against crime, there should be no quarter given to criminals," Ahmad Zahid had said.

Waythamoorthy had said he will not be silent on issues just because he is in the government.

"In fact, it is to the advantage of the government that I voice out the true sentiments of the people on the ground so that I can contribute positively to the objectives and good governance of the government," he had said in a statement after the shooting last Monday.

The five who were killed – J. Gobinath, 31, R. Ramesh, 27, N. Rakan, 25, M. Suresh, 25, and M. Gobinath, 21, - were shot dead by police during a raid as they were believed to be linked to nine out of 19 shooting cases this year.

They were in an apartment in Sungai Nibong when the police party moved in.

The families of the dead have lodged four police reports demanding an inquest into their deaths.

Yesterday, several Malay non-governmental organisations called on the former Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) leader to leave the government if he wanted to speak against it.

Right-wing Malay NGO Perkasa said the chairman of Hindraf should make private inquiries about the incident rather than doubt the credibility of the police force.

“Our security forces are scrambling to reduce the public’s ire towards the increasing number of armed criminals but Waythamoorthy here is questioning the actions of our forces,” said Datuk Zulkifli Noordin, who is Perkasa vice- president.

“We do not deny his right to fight for the Indian community but he needs to know his position. If he still wants to have the mentality of an NGO leader, it is best that he resigns and focuses on building the Indian community,” he told the Umno-owned Malay daily, Utusan Malaysia.

Another group known as Tolak Individu Bernama Anwar Ibrahim (TIBAI) also asked the deputy minister to respect the police.

The group’s adviser, Muhammad Zahid Md Arip, said Waythamoorthy is looking at criminal activities from a very narrow scope and as such he should be dropped from the Cabinet.

“This is not a race issue but it is about national and public security. I urge the prime minister to remove Waythamoorthy from his position,” he added.

Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) president Azwanddin Hamzah cautioned Waythamoorthy from acting so quickly on his own to defend the Indians.

“Criminals are still criminals and the police know what they are doing. He should have discussed this first instead of impulsively releasing a statement,” Azwanddin was quoted as saying. - August 25, 2013.

Barisan would have lost without postal, advance votes, says Merdeka Centre

Numbers tell a story and the startling story that has emerged from studying the past general election results is this: Barisan Nasional could not have gone back to Putrajaya without the controversial postal and advanced votes system.

These votes alone gave BN victory in 22 parliamentary seats, which made all the difference. Without those 22 seats, BN would have tied with opposition Pakatan Rakyat at 111 seats.

Without those key postal and advanced votes, MIC would be without the two Cabinet ministers Datuk Seri S Subramaniam (Segamat) and Datuk Seri G. Palanivel (Cameron Highlands).

Several seats in Johor and the Federal Territory would have also fallen to Pakatan Rakyat.

This new information was revealed in a voting pattern study by Merdeka Centre, which was obtained by The Malaysian Insider.

Merdeka Centre said that after stripping and analysing the data, it concluded that BN could have lost as many as 30 parliamentary seats if it did not win the postal/advance votes.

Data from different voting channels from the 222 parliamentary seats was analysed using a system designed to uncover natural groupings or clusters.

The study was able to show the voting patterns in GE13 and confirmed the rural and urban divide in Malaysia as well as the 20 percent swing of Chinese voters away from Barisan Nasional.

Merdeka Centre noted that without advance and postal votes, BN would have lost 22 parliamentary seats. This finding will cause heartache for Opposition politicians who have been campaigning for the past few years for the abolishment of postal voters, arguing that it provides opportunities for fraud.

Following the general election on May 5, PKR, DAP and PAS filed petitions seeking to nullify election results in several constituencies.

Chief among their complaints was postal and advance voting fraud, pointing out that the few votes the Opposition received through these channels was far fewer than the support shown by ordinary voters across Malaysia.

The Election Commission (EC) said that there were some 372,000 advance or postal voters and they included security forces, EC workers and the media.

Their presence in any parliamentary constituency is significant considering how closely fought the election was. On average there was about 1,100 postal votes and 800 advance voters in every constituency.

The 30 parliamentary seats that BN could have lost without the postal/advance votes are: Segamat (93.3 percent of the postal and advance votes for BN), Bagan Serai (82.6 percent for BN), Muar (87.2 percent for BN), Pulai (88.8 percent for BN), Jerai (74.2 percent for BN), Balik Pulau (89.5 percent for BN), Machang (79.2 percent for BN), Labis (89.7 percent for BN), Kuala Selangor (71.7 percent for BN), Beaufort (71.7 percent for BN), Kuala Kangsar (76 percent for BN), Hulu Selangor (83.9 percent for BN), Sungai Besar (75.1 percent for BN), Baram (89.2 percent for BN), Kulim-Bandar Baharu (88.8 percent for BN), Pasir Gudang (89 percent for BN), Tangga Batu (86.4 percent for BN), Titiwangsa (78.9 percent for BN), Tasek Gelugor (68 percent for BN), Tenom (87.6 percent for BN), Bentong (89.9 percent for BN), Cameron Highlands (91.3 percent for BN), Merbok (80.5 percent for BN), Ketereh (81.6 percent for BN), Setiawangsa (81.9 percent for BN), Mas Gading (72.3 percent for BN), Keningau (78.4 percent for BN).

Among the notable politicians in Parliament today only because of advance and postal votes are MIC's president Palanivel. He won his Cameron Highlands seat by only 462 votes. And this after snaring 91.3 percent of the advance and postal votes.

Also fortunate was Chua Tee Yong, MCA president Chua Soi Lek' son. He won the Labis seat by only 353 votes. His share of advance and postal votes: 89.7 percent.

In its report, Merdeka Centre concluded that "the implication of advance and postal voting on this election will certainly figure strongly as civil society and the opposition continue to pressure the EC for further reforms of the electoral process."

Maka sampai bila BN mengharapkan pengundian awal dan pengundian pos ?

Jom kita tengok peluang ini malam ini... Kehebatan ALLAH SWT

KUALA LUMPUR, 11 Ogos 2013

Menjatuhkan Imej Negara Gara-gara Mereka
